Achievements and Accolades

We at DPMC care about our employees, our customers and our workplace. While we continuously try to make good business decisions, we think about the big picture too. We care about the world around us and do our best to minimise the impact our products and manufacturing facilities have on the environment. And we are proud to say that we have been rewarded for our good work.

Awards

5S Awards (2001 & 2002): Merit Awards at the Taiki Akimoto 5S Competition organised by the Japan Sri Lanka Technical and Cultural Association (JASTECA)

National Safety Awards (2001 & 2003): All-Island National Safety Merit Award - for health and safety measures taken for our employees, customers, contract workers and all those who visit our premises

Green Sri Lanka Environment Awards (2002 & 2004): Bronze Award at Green Sri Lanka Environment Awards 2002 and Gold Award at Green Sri Lanka Environment Awards 2004 organised by the Federation of Wildlife Conservation - in recognition of our efforts towards the protection of environment and wildlife

SUNFO Award (2004): SUNFO Family Service National Award - for the outstanding contribution made towards the betterment of society through the three-wheeler industry

National HRM Awards (2003): 'Best HR Practice' in the Large Manufacturing Sector at the second National HRM Awards - for effective implementation of employee suggestion schemes, reward system, motivational programs, training and development, employee relations, employee welfare and social responsibility

Transport Awards (2004): 'Best Company in Transport Business' by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport

Community Leader Awards (2005 & 2006): Silver Award in the Large Category at the inaugural Community Leader Awards organised by CIMA Sri Lanka in 2005 to recognise the best companies in waste management

A Special Award in 2006 in recognition of our contribution to the education sector

National Business Excellence Awards 2007: 'Excellence in Blockbuster Performance' and 'Best Realised Growth' awards at the National Business Excellence Awards, conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce

People's Awards 2008: Bajaj was crowned 'People's Vehicle of the Year' at the People's Awards 2008, nominated by the people themselves, organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing in association with the Nielsen Company.

ISO 14001: Certification awarded by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) in recognition of our commitment to comply with Environmental Management Systems

ISO 9001:2008 Certification awarded for compliance with Quality Management System requirements at our Madapatha and Bandaragama Complexes as well as Corporate Headquarters at Hyde Park Corner and City Office at Battaramulla
